Question by R.R.: Writing a resume, but I don’t have any work experience?
How should I categorize in my resume if I have never had any work experience? I am fourteen, but I want to stand out when I send in my job application for a retail store that does not discriminate by age/race, etc.

its gonna be a short one. :) have you done any volunteering in your community? what about extracurricular activities? are you in any clubs or organizations in school or outside of school? are you in advanced classes, whats your gpa so far? there you go, i just gave you four categories.

volunteer work
extracurricular activites
clubs organization
school honors

some employers can use this criteria to measure how responsible, dedicated, determined, mature you are. if you don’t have anything for these categories, there’s not much else you can do.
