Am writing a resume for my 50 year old husband. His company of 7 years is weeding out older workers and terminated him. Nice huh? Anyways, how many years should I go back in job experience?

If you can prove that your husband’s company is weeding out older employees, you probably have grounds for a law suit.
But, back to your initial question…
Most employers like to see a RECORD of employment, so go back at least 10-15 years, if you can.
If it’s been a while since your husband did a resume, make sure that when you update it that you update more than just his work history. He may have acquired new skills, new references or what have you that need to be added as well.
