Question by Megan E: How to write a resume with no work experience?
Well, the other day I went in to apply at the hair salon and they wanted me to create a resume instead of fill out a job application. I have no idea what I should do with this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

most states / countries you need to have a certification of some sort to work in a hair salon (assuming you want to cut hair etc).

If that’s the case, you’d need to get a certification.

If you have a certification, most schools can help you create a resume. With no work experience, most of it would center around listing classes you took and info about the school and your certification.

Otherwise you need to highlight schooling in general and extra-curricular activities / references.
