Question by a n d r o i d: How do I indicate a change in ownership on a resume?
I’m writing my resume. I worked for a wireless company from 2004-2007 as a manager. The company sold and I worked for the new company as a sales associate. How do I indicate that first company was sold to the second, hence my change in title? I don’t want people thinking I was demoted. They are two separate companies.

Did the company change names? Or just ownership? I’d just put in a line saying that the company was taken over. Perhaps split it into two entries, “XYZ company”, and “XYZ company: new ownership”.
