I will be graduating from a University in Aiken, South Carolina in December 2007. I am pretty much done with my courses as in the fall semester I will only have one class to complete my degree. I have never completed a resume (as my current summer work did not require one) but have checked out three books on resume writing from the library. How soon should I begin applying for job positions (Sociology major)? At least three times a week, I casually browse careerbuilder.com, americas job bank, and south carolina state jobs. I just don’t want to “jump the gun” too soon.

Your University will have a career center. They usually have workshops on cover letters and resume writing as well as connections for help with job searches.
